As stated in previous reviews, they stick out quite far, and would most likely hamper a childs' line of sight. However, we bought it for my one year old son. Planning on keeping him rear facing until he's at least two. Part of the reason we upgraded to this seat is because it's convertible. But rear facing, to keep the seat in the "designed" level position, barely fits in my crew cab Ford F-250, which has one of the longest leg room dimensions of any rear seat. We looked at the Graco Nautilus and a few others before settling on this model. We have been very happy so far with ease of installation (we had the new one secure in minutes), and comfort. I was worried the big "airbags" would annoy my son, or make it hard for him to see out the window, but that isn't the case at all. He is very comfortable and even fell asleep within minutes of riding around town in his new seat. His head stayed up, no bobbling or slumping.At 40 lbs., the crotch strap is in the furthest position, so I could see that being an issue down the road, but for now, it is a very good and comfortable fit for our normal sized, preschool-age kid. |

I love it and so does my daughter. The extra cushion makes it comfortable and not super hard like some other car seats. When it says recline it only stays reclined in one position when installed in the car. If you want to change the recline position you have to unlatch the car seat and change the recline position. Not a big deal for me though cause I just keep it reclined. My only "negative" comment is I wish someone made a car seat cover for it. I've tried other ones and none of them fit because of the "wings". Not a big deal but it would be nice.
