So whether or not it's a good or bad thing, at least in essence you get what you pay for.This "Safety 1st Complete Air 65 SE Protect Convertible Car Seat" is essentially the same product as the "Safety 1st Air Protect Complete Air SE Convertible Car Seat" which has been re-certified for a higher maximum weight of 65lbs. Coming from the Orbit Baby G2 Infant car seat (and American company) where every piece speaks of high-end quality from the solid plastic construction down to the foam and fabric that's certified Oeko-Tex Standard 100 (European organization) that's certified free of harmful substances and safe for your baby. I love it and so does my daughter. The extra cushion makes it comfortable and not super hard like some other car seats. When it says recline it only stays reclined in one position when installed in the car. If you want to change the recline position you have to unlatch the car seat and change the recline position. Not a big deal for me though cause I just keep it reclined. My only "negative" comment is I wish someone made a car seat cover for it. I've tried other ones and none of them fit because of the "wings". Not a big deal but it would be nice. He is very comfortable in the seat and with the type of fabric is very easy to clean. The air protectors act as good pillows for him to sleep on. Would definitely recommend this seat to anyone who needs a convertible seat. I do think that if you have a small car it might be a little big, but with our suburban it fits nicely. |
