It is sturdy, easy to use, easy to clean, inexpensive, comfortable, long-lasting, and more. I had an older version of this same seat (about two years ago) and bought two of this version--the old one for my hubby's car and these two for my minivan. My two-year-old LOVES the soft, cushiony seat--she always takes her shoes and socks off to rub her feet on it, and my 6-month-old loves the extra room and freedom of the bigger seat (she got too big for the Graco carrier kind.) The tilt is very easy to use and it installs fast and quickly--with LATCH--I haven't tried any other method. They fit beautifully into both my hubby's VW Passat and my Hyundai minivan--we're both tall and still have plenty of room to have our seats all the way back and these seats installed in both front and rear facing positions. However, I'm here to tell you it's not. First, let me tell you my little story of installation! I first tried installing the Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite car seat rear-facing in my 2004 Mazda 3 using the LATCH system. I followed the instructions to the letter and also used one regular-size towel rolled up underneath it. I thought I had it in there pretty good, but I asked my husband to take a look to see if he could get it a little tighter since it seemed to move a little side to side. We both agreed that it was a little too loose and there was still quite a bit of open space underneath the car seat, which caused additional wiggle room for the car seat to move. We also couldn't seem to get the darn thing level AND tight at the same time. We took a break from my car and my husband starting working on installing the same car seat in his 2003 GMC pickup, again using the LATCH... He was okay only a small bruise from the impact pushing the seat belt into his skin. The Emts could not get over how great the seat protected him we hit the pole going 70 mph and i was told he should of been hurt pretty badly but his car seat saved him. One of the Emts even said he was going to buy the same seat for his child after seeing it save my sons life. How about this, why don't you post what car seats or at least the makers in which you designed this cover for? So, warning to you before you purchase...if you have Eddie Bauer and Alpha Omega seat...I'd pass this one by. On a positive note, the Dora & Boots design is adorable! We were on a budget so price was the primary reason for choosing this car seat, but it turned out great! The seat fabric might not be as nice and cushy as more expensive ones, but my 6-month-old is perfectly comfortable and well protected in this seat. No unnecessary bells and whistles to make it bulky or heavy! Pros: - Light-weight and narrow. I'm petite and not very strong at all, but it was very easy for me to get it in and out of my car or carry it up and down the stairs. It's pretty narrow so I bet you can fit 3 of them in the back of a Sedan! - Easy to recline. There's a piece underneath the seat and all you have to do is to just flip it forward for rear-facing, and flip it backwards for forward-facing. You can not recline the seat when the car seat is already installed in the car, but most likely you will be using it for one kid and won't have to adjust the recline all the time so it's not a problem. - Easy to adjust the shoulder... She personally paid over $300 for her car seat and she told me there was lots of swearing and sweat as her husband attempted to install their expensive top of the line car seat. I paid pennies for this car seat and it was super easy to install, had good reviews already and was super easy to take in and out of the car. My nephew is comfortable and its really easy to pull him out of the car and put him in. I also must say that this seat is compact. My sisters expensive car seat makes it impossible to sit other people in the back seat cause its sooo overly bulky. But this car seat is slimmer without loosing out on any protection or padding. I can fit 2 people NO problem in the back of the car. I highly recommend this car seat to any new parent or an aunty looking to have a spare car seat! Much lighter than it looked in the picture to me. It is still very cute and my daughter has enough room, she seems to be comfortable in it. It is not as bulky as a lot of car seats I have seen and there is plenty of room for people to sit in the seat next to it.
