When our 8 month old was clearly outgrowing her reclined infant tub seat (which I used in our kitchen sink), I was reluctant to just put her in our enormous soaking tub. She can sit up on her own, but could certainly topple over easily on the slick tub floor. Furthermore, I hated the idea of wasting so much water filling up the tub for such a little person!This inflatable tub is perfect! It takes just a few minutes to fill up with the perfect amount of water for our little one! I don't worry if she loses her balance a little bit, because she just bumps against the soft inflatable sides. I suggest keeping it inflated, because blowing it up took some serious lung power and patience. Also, make sure the little plastic drain cap is completely closed tight. The first time I used it, I didn't have the drain cap on tightly, so it leaked. I haven't had a problem with leaking since I figured that out... We went from a traditional infant tub to this b/c our tub is rather large and I didn't want to have to use so much water (and time) to fill the tub up for baths. I also wondered if the 'big' tub would be scary for my son. He just loves this tub-he moves around a lot and has tons of room to splash. He can also lean up against the padded sides and it looks like he is just chillin'-so cute! |
